We pack our ciders in super-strong packaging that is specially designed to protect bottles in transit. As far as we’re aware, we are the first maker to produce a can-conditioned, naturally sparkling cider, rather than force-carbonated cider which is the norm for canned ciders.
Cider for Christmas gifts
As cider drinkers ourselves, there is nothing we love more for Christmas than a cider we haven’t tried before, preferably from an artisan maker who we know will have put their heart and soul into creating that cider. If you are looking for a gift for a lover of real cider, why not take a look at the selection of artisanal, natural ciders in our webshop. A mixed case is always a good bet if you aren’t sure exactly the type of cider someone prefers. Bear in mind though that we produce real cider that is at the drier end of the spectrum, from 100% freshly pressed juice. It’s not the sickly sweet industrial type of product that we think shouldn’t even be allowed to be called cider. So if the person you’re buying for likes a super-sweet ‘fruity cider’ or similar, you probably need to look elsewhere!
Cider with Christmas food
Our 750ml bottles are ideal sharing bottles for a family gathering. The ciders that involve the Yarlington Mill apple really shine at Christmas time, as Yarlington Mill naturally produces the aroma and flavour of warming Christmas spices such as cinnamon and cloves. Our gold award-winning Yarlington Mill Keeved 2002 and our Yarlington Mill & Michelin 2021 keeved are naturally sweeter ciders that are an ideal choice to go with Christmas pudding and desserts. Our Whisky Barrel Aged ciders pair beautifully with a mince pie or are perfect for sipping by the fire.
Most ciders pair well with cheese, so a mixed case of cider to try alongside your cheese board would be a fabulous idea. You can pick your selection of six 750ml bottles or pick your selecton of twelve 440ml cans. We also have a mixed case of 500ml bottles.
If you prefer a still, draught cider we have the following ciders in 10 litre Bag in Boxes: Temple Dry, Temple Medium, Somerset Redstreak, Yarlington Mill and Whisky Barrel Aged. These work out as a very cost-effective option.
