Our Dorset craft cider range
At Temple Cider we create traditional Dorset craft cider with a contemporary, clean and easy-drinking style. We specialise in delicious dry ciders with no added sugar or sweetener, but do have a naturally sparkling Michelin keeved cider, and also the Millie’s Magic blend, which appeal to those with a sweeter tooth. Our ciders are all suitable for vegans and are gluten-free.
We have ciders in the following formats:
75cl naturally sparkling ciders
In addition to our range of 500ml bottled ciders, we now have three small-batch, larger-bottle, naturally sparkling ciders. We didn’t add any yeasts to these limited edition ciders. They are ‘wild fermented’, that is, only the naturally occurring yeasts were used. Full details are below and you can also read some over-excited waffle in this news post.
Bramley & Chisel Jersey co-ferment 2020 pét nat 75cl
Made from 100% handpicked, unsprayed Bramley and Chisel Jersey apples that we picked, pressed and co-fermented. Bottle fermented using only the natural yeasts, this is a naturally sparkling (pét nat), dry cider. It is an unpasteurised and unfiltered natural cider. 7% abv.
This is a zingy natural cider with refreshing acidity, a beautiful colour and fine bubbles.
Kingston Black single variety 2020 pét nat 75cl
Made from 100% handpicked, unsprayed Kingston Black apples we picked and pressed ourselves. Bottle fermented using only the natural yeasts, this is a naturally sparkling (pét nat), dry cider. It is an unpasteurised and unfiltered natural cider. 7.4% abv.
This natural cider has delicate citrus notes with moderate tannins and fine bubbles.
Michelin single variety 2020 keeved, pét nat 75cl
This cider has just been awarded bronze by the IWSC tasting of 100% juice, not-from-concentrate ciders!
Made from 100% handpicked, unsprayed Michelin apples we picked and pressed ourselves. Bottle fermented using only the natural yeasts, this is naturally sparkling (pét nat) and keeved to produce a naturally medium-sweet cider (no sugar or sweetener added). It is an unpasteurised and unfiltered natural cider. 5.2% abv.
A subtly sweet natural cider with hints of mandarin orange and with fine bubbles.
500ml Dorset craft ciders

We make Milo’s Magic from a blend of traditional bittersweet and bittersharp cider apples. Yarlington Mill, Kingston Black and a variety of unidentified apples from a timeless, unsprayed orchard are all to be found in Milo’s Magic. It is a dry, lightly sparkling cider and is available in 500ml bottles. We now realise that the advice given on the label ‘best served chilled’ is misleading. Milo’s Magic is definitely best enjoyed at cool room temperature to bring out the mellow, bittersweet flavours.
Named after our laid-back old rescue dog, Milo’s Magic is a well-balanced, easy-drinking cider. This is our go-to cider here on the farm as it goes so well with our favourite spicy foods. It’s absolutely delicious, if we say so ourselves!
Our new, medium dry craft cider, Millie’s Magic, is made from traditional bittersweet and bittersharp cider apples. Dabinett, Yarlington Mill, Stoke Red and a variety of unidentified apples from an old unsprayed orchard are all to be found here. We fermented the cider fully to dryness and then back-sweetened with our own pressed Dabinett apple juice to give a medium dry result. No added sugar or artificial sweetener. Millie’s Magic is a lightly sparkling cider and is available in 500ml bottles.
Named after our crazy, characterful old rescue dog, Millie’s Magic is a well-balanced, subtly sweetened and moreish cider with a tannic finish.
Whiskey Barrel Aged
Our Whiskey Barrel Aged Dorset craft cider is made from the same traditional bittersweet and bittersharp cider apples as Milo’s Magic, but combined in a slightly different blend. It is a still cider that is available in 500ml bottles or as a bag-in-box.
It was carefully aged in whiskey barrels for 3 months and is a smooth, dry cider with a subtle but distinctive whiskey finish. This cider is extremely popular!

Our Yarlington Mill cider is a true single variety made from 100% freshly pressed Yarlington Mill apples with no other varieties involved. It is a lightly sparkling cider that is available in 500ml bottles.
Yarlington Mill is a bittersweet cider apple that falls from the tree when fully ripe. We picked the fallen apples and pressed them, then repeated the picking and pressing process four weeks later so that all apples used were at their maximum ripeness and optimum quality.
A dry, light and refreshing cider that is very moreish. It is fast becoming a favourite!
Dabinett – NEW!
Our newly-released 2020 vintage Dabinett cider is a true single variety made from 100% freshly pressed Dabinett apples with no other varieties involved. It is an unfiltered, unpasteurised cider, fermented with wild yeasts only. Bottled just before fermentation had finished, this still cider may gain a very slight natural sparkle in due course. It is ready to enjoy now, or you may choose to keep some bottles to see how it develops over time. Available in 500ml bottles.
Dabinett is a bittersweet cider apple that is high in tannins and produces full-bodied juice.
A dry, strong and bold cider that is perfect for sipping and savouring. Ideal for the Dabinett connoisseur.
Bag in Box Dorset craft ciders
We have a range of our Dorset craft ciders available as Bag in Box for pubs:
- Temple Dry – blend of traditional cider apples (including Yarlington Mill and Kingston Black) fermented to off-dry. 6.5% ABV.
- Temple Medium Dry – blend of traditional cider apples (including Yarlington Mill, Stoke Red and Dabinett) fermented to dry, then back-sweetened with Dabinett juice. 6% ABV.
- Dabinett – single variety off-dry, smooth and tannic cider. 8.1% ABV.
Pet Nat in Keg
We have very limited edition kegged ciders that finished fermenting in the keg. This is a pet nat (naturally sparkling) cider that is beautifully bubbly with no force carbonation involved. Contact us for further details.
