Yarlington Mill & Dabinett, pet nat cider

Our Yarlington Mill & Dabinett 2021 pét nat cider has truly come into its own of late. We are often asked by customers which is the favourite of our current ciders, and this Yarlington Mill & Dabinett, along with the single variety Coat Jersey, are the ones that we find it hard to choose between.

When this natural cider was first released, the Dabinett tannins were very much in evidence. But they have now developed a softness and breadth that has completely altered the balance of the cider. The Yarlington Mill is a fairly tannic apple variety too of course, but its tannins are no match for the steadfast robustness of the Dabinett’s tannins!

Made only from handpicked, unsprayed fruit, with 60% Yarlington Mill and 40% Dabinett apples, we bottle-fermented this cider, using only the wild yeasts, to give a beautifully soft and natural sparkle. It is unpasteurised and unfiltered. 7.2% ABV

It is a deliciously clean cider with spicy notes, pleasing tannins, a bright golden hue and soft, fine bubbles.

The exact same Yarlington Mill and Dabinett 2021 is also available in 20 litre polykegs for the on-trade. Keg-fermented cider is truly wonderful and we are so pleased that there is increasing impetus to make this naturally sparkling, draught cider more widely available in pubs and bars.
